Weekly Meal Plans

by Deliciously Organic on July 28, 2011

What’s for dinner tonight?

How do you eat organic, real, unprocessed food on a daily basis without completely stressing out? How do you do it without it breaking the bank? With our busy lifestyles we all know we should eat better, but who has the time to make a menu, find recipes the whole family will love, and write a shopping list of unprocessed, real, organic ingredients.

I have the answer for you! Weekly meal plans. I’ve developed weekly dinner plans that are delicious, unprocessed, and affordable. They’ll take the thought out of “What’s for dinner tonight?”

Each weekly meal plan features:

A Shopping List
5 full Dinner Menus
Each meal consists of one or two recipes
1 dessert each week
Helpful Tips for getting dinner on the table quickly
Easy-to-follow, “kid-approved” recipes
Each week you’ll receive access to two weeks of menus.
Hit “print” and you’ll have your complete shopping list organized by category – making shopping easy and quick. You’ll have each recipe for the week in your hands.
The recipes will vary, too. So you won’t eat the same thing over and over.
Every recipe features unprocessed, nourishing, real, whole foods.
All the meal plans provide easy substitutions to make every recipe gluten-free.
Each recipe serves 4 people. Some recipes will have leftovers – great for lunch the next day!

Your cost: 41 cents a day!

Each meal plan makes use of this list of two-dozen pantry staples.

I am such a neurotic meal planner that this post just reached into my soul innards and gave me a massage. Really.

Oh Carrie, thank you. I’ve been wanting/needing this help so badly as divorced single mom of one child – and week to week custody to boot. With working full-time, the craziness of one week to the next, I SO need help in figuring out what to cook. The plan of WHAT to make is number one and the plan on how to do much of it on a weeknight where there’s me getting off of work and home around 5pm – only to have about 3 hours before my son needs to be ready for bed…

Such a great idea. So many people need a little hand holding at the beginning of a new life and starting out eating right (and organic) is just the kind of thing that requires a little assistance. I’m so glad you’re offering this service to your readers. We appreciate it!

Will the meal plans feature recipes that are not included on your website, or will there be some overlap?

Reply

Deliciously Organic July 29, 2011 at 7:48 am

There is some overlap – some from my blog, some that I’ve never published, some from my book.

Will these be downloads?

Each week you can access 2 weeks worth of menus on the “members” page. I have print options so you can easily print the shopping list and recipes each week (or visit every other week for your menus).

This is a super idea! However, I am wondering if we might get a sneak peak or a sample to see some of your ideas. I have your book and love your blog and have been working towards everything organic for about3 months now. What a difference!! Thanks.

Laura, I’m with ya – me, too!! I started this venture in March of this year and “stumbled” onto this blog and Carrie a few months ago and also purchased her cook book, watch her blog and used her cook book to literally “makeover” my pantry. Many of the items Carrie recommends can also be purchased at vitacost.com and I’ve been shopping with them for 1 1/2 years now and actually used them to populate roughly 80% of my pantry.

I’m anxiously awaiting the debut… ;-)

I definitely agree – a little planning goes a long way! I don’t even have kids, but still find that planning meals ahead will save me a lot of time during work days. Thanks for the tips!

I just signed up and ALL the recipes look delicious!! I have tried another meal planning service but it used way too many processed foods and I ended up using just one recipe a week. I can’t wait to try everything from yours! It looks like your recipes will help me to incorporate more vegetables (my nemesis!), too. Thank you!!
