Grain-Free Family Table Cover

When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder (Hashimoto’s disease) back in 2008, I chose a grain-free, nutrient-dense diet to help my body heal. Over the course of several years I eventually reversed my autoimmune disease. In my new cookbook, The Grain-Free Family Table, I share my entire story of recovery, my best health and cooking tips, and more than 125 recipes to show you how delicious grain-free living can be.

In this beautiful full-color cookbook, I include recipes for everything from staples like grain-free pie crust and homemade nut butter, to gourmet dishes that will amaze your dinner guests. Some of my favorites are the Pork Carnitas Breakfast Crepe Tacos, Crispy Sweet Potato Cakes with Cilantro Salsa the Roasted Garlic Alfredo with Chicken and Vegetables. For dessert you won’t believe the Gooey Cinnamon Rolls, Grain-Free Ice Cream Cones and the Donut Holes with Maple Glaze (they taste like the real thing!). I also devoted an entire chapter to kid-friendly recipes such as Squash Macaroni and Cheese, Slice-and-Bake Cookies, and a Classic Birthday Cake with Buttercream Frosting.

Many people have practical questions about switching to a grain-free lifestyle, so I include chapters that answer questions about eating at restaurants, eating grain-free on a budget, adapting traditional recipes, tips for getting the whole family on board, and most importantly, how to use nutrient-dense, grain-free food to help overcome disease. Each recipe has an easy Paleo/Dairy-Free adaptation so we can all enjoy the recipes no matter our dietary restrictions. I hope it will become an indispensable resource for you and your family. The book will be released on November 18, 2014. More details to come!
